Portraying the quality and characteristics of real lace – Uzumaki has been one of our most attractive decorative papers since we introduced this paper in the United States back in the early 1990’s.Uzumaki features a consistent and wide “swirl-like” pattern created during the papermaking process as water is forced through a specially designed “patterned” screen. The base paper is very soft and lightweight with a silk like feel, yet maintain a considerable level of strength. This lightweight paper can be used for decorative envelope linings, collage work, invitation and greeting card layers, as well as wraps for elegant packaging projects.
